Old equipment commonly retains highly sensitive data, whether is proprietary, customer data, or employee data. This is where ITAD comes in. The common steps of most ITAD providers is as follows.
- Asset valuation
- Uninstallation & Removal
- Logistic management
- Data sanitization & Destruction

IS ALL EQUIPMENT RESOLD?
No. While some equipment has resale and refurbishment value, most assets have reached the end of its life cycle. Once the your equipment is received and assessed to determine value then your ITAD provider can determine the appropriate secondary sales channel if there is any. Your maximum ROI should be the highest priority for your asset disposition team.
